Sally and Kristaps met when they were 16, attending college in Canberra, and began dating in 2006. In 2009 they welcomed their first child who was their flower girl at their wedding.
On the evening before Sally’s 24th birthday they were strolling around the lake when Kristaps decided to walk off the path and stood amongst the blossom trees (Sally loves pink blossom trees), where he proposed to Sally.
Sally and Kristaps are so glad to have found Elope to the Coast who use Ray Lawler Studio for their videography and photography. Whilst they wanted to have an unforgettable and unique wedding, they wanted also wanted something that reflected them, but they could not justify spending a lot of money.
Sally said “My husband, daughter and I were going on a family vacation with the rest of the family, so we thought, What if we get married then? We have no beaches where we live that would be nice, (always wanted a beach wedding but never imagined it possible). We didn’t want to overshadow the excitement of the family vacation with our wedding so we thought we would leave it for a surprise and tell the family they were going to formal show and then dinner and instead surprise them when they actually got to the location. This was unique and different, as well.”
Sally and Kristaps also had a black theme.
Sally said of Ray Lawler’s work, “Love the photos, I still get emotional when I watch the DVD and as I said hair and makeup was phenomenal!”
Sally and Kristaps felt their Surprise wedding was elegant but simple which was what they really wanted. Sally said “My husband was so happy at how relax it all was and my family could not believe how at ease I was, that is partly due to elope to the coast. Thank you for all your help at our beautiful surprise wedding!!!”
Ray Lawler Studio wish Sally and Kristaps and their beautiful daughter and wonderful life together!!
