Sallyanne first met at Adam at Summer Field Days on the Gold Coast in January 2008. Sallyanne noticed a tall good looking guy staring and smiling at her. She had caught Adam’s eye and he made his way over to over to her which she was very happy about and “ ... the rest is history.”
Adam proposed to Sallyanne in October 2011, on warm sunny day at Noosa North Shore Beach. They had enjoyed a wonderful day at the beach (their favourite thing to do) and they were drying off at the back of their 4WD, when Adam asked Sallyanne to come around to the back of the van. There was Adam, on bended knee, where he asked “Will you marry me?”
After a fabulous wedding at Hastings Point, Sallyanne and Adam honeymooned at the Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa Waikiki, Hawaii.
Sallyanne and Adam’s tip for the wedding, “Relax and go with the flow and remember that day is about you two!”
Ray Lawler Studio congratulate Sallyanne and Adam for allowing us to be part of their special day. They chose photography and videography for their wedding and now have those memories of that special day, forever!
Ray Lawler Photography and Video were proud to be one of the major sponsors at Your Local Wedding Guide Expo held at the Convention Centre, Gold Coast on Sunday 3rd March 2013.
It was a highly successful day with lots of photography and videography enquiries from newly engaged couples. There were pregnant brides-to-be, babies, toddlers and prams, with parents preparing to "tie the knot".
There were lots of photographic companies, wedding venues, florists, marriage celebrants, hair and make-up teams, photo booths, candy suppliers and Andrew from United Limousines showing off his new hummer.
Your Local Wedding Guide has 2 expos per year and for couples wishing to get ideas, it really is worth going to.
As part of being a major sponsor, our Studio donated an engagement shoot to the value of $1000.00. It includes approximately 45 (13 x 18 cm) printed photos, 5 enlargement photos (20 x 30 cm), a hi-res disc of all the images, and an online gallery of 50 photos to be viewed by family and friends!
Thank you to your Local Wedding Guide for another successful event!
We decided after our first meeting with them that we would use Ray Lawler Studio on our wedding day and we didn't even look at any other photographers after this meeting. We were very confident that they would deliver what we wanted for both the photography and videography of our wedding day. Our co-ordinator was lovely and planned the timing of the photographer and videographer perfectly. Ray and Simon were very professional and patient. The photos were beautiful and the video captured every special moment.
Dave and Daniella first met at a cafe in Broadbeach where Daniella slipped on a patch of wet floor. Being the gentleman that he is, he helped her up off the floor. Daniella offered to buy him a coffee to thank him but he declined and instead shouted her lunch. They talked for about 3 hours and then exchanged phone numbers. And the love story began ...
Dave proposed to Daniella on a night out at Jupiters Casino, celebrating his 30th birthday. Daniella was getting ready in their hotel room and walked out of the bathroom asked him how she looked. Daniella said, “He said I was missing something and then he got down on one knee and pulled out a ring and asked me to marry him.”
Dave and Daniella married at the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove and honeymooned on beautiful Hayman Island for a week.
They said of Ray Lawler Studio “At our first meeting with Ray Lawler Studio we felt they were very confident that they would deliver what we wanted for both the photography and videography for our wedding day. Our co-ordinator was lovely and planned the timing of the photographer and videographer perfectly. Ray and Simon were very professional and patient. The photos were beautiful and the video captured every special moment.”
Blaise and Rehema have been together since childhood, but separated when the War came in their country. Both fled to different countries where Rehema ended up in Australia and Blaise in Tanzania. They met up again, and Blaise proposed to Rehema via email, asking her to be his wife.
Blaise and Rehema married at Dunamis Christian Church in Brisbane, and their reception venue was Logan City Recreation Club. Blaise and Rehema said the food and service was excellent. Their colour theme was red, black and white.
Rehema chose big fresh red roses with diamantes and black feathers around the bouquet. What a stunning effect!
Their wedding cake was a white chocolate twelve piece cake which looked terrific and tasted as good as it looked.
Rehema arrived in a hummer which was a real treat.
Our couple chose Ray Lawler Studio for their photography and videography. They said of Ray Lawler "Our photographs turned out better than we could have imagined. We have some of the most beautiful photos to cherish forever. We are also getting an album, and it will be hard to choose the photos for it as there are so many fantastic photos! They also did a video of the whole day for us. Our package included 6 copies, so we are sending a copy to our overseas relatives and friends who could not come to our wedding. Having both the videographer and photographer from the same company was good as they worked well together. We also got a great value package."
Rehema and Blaise spent their honeymoon night in Brisbane city and then went to Noosa in a luxury Mercedes Benz where they stayed for a week.
Bride’s advice: It only happens once, so have the time of your life. Because at the end of the day, it’s all about the two of you!
Rehema and Blaise said that everything was exceptional and beyond their expectations. It was amazing day for all to remember!!
Blaise and Rehema are also our real life story for the next Gold Coast Weddings Magazine which comes out on 1st March.
The team from Ray Lawler Studio would like to wish you all a safe and happy Christmas. We look forward to photographing some more beautiful weddings next year. Our bookings for 2013 include weddings at The Marriott, the Sheraton Mirage Resort and Spa, The Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove Resort(formerly Hyatt), and Mercure Resort (formerly Raddison Resort). We update our Facebook page regularly, so follow us on Facebook too!
Don't forget we have some excellent combination packages covering photography and videography. People spend tens of thousands of dollars on their weddings, and don't include a video of the day. Choosing one of our combination packages is good value for money, and is great to view again on future wedding anniversaries to come.
It also works well for the photographer and videographer being from the same company, as they can understand each other's requirements and have great rapport with each other (speaking from experience ...)
Ray Lawler Studio has a knack of making you relax and enjoy your photo shoot, with genuine laughter and fun for couples and their bridal parties. So, please consider Ray Lawler Studio for your wedding photography and videography - your day, your way!!
Ray Lawler Studio, thank you for everything - your professionalism, kindness and endless patience. We could not have asked for a more perfect day and it was truly the happiest day of our lives. We are absolutely in love with the photos and video from the wedding - they are simply amazing and everyone - us included - think they are perfect. The video, in particular, has brought on the tears for all who have watched it. The photographs are already all over our house and they are so beautiful we could not be happier. We are very excited to see the next edition of Gold Coast Weddings.
Thank you all for everything, especially creating photos and a DVD of what will always be the most amazing day of our life. They will give us a lifetime of happy memories.
Your wedding video will be the most detailed reminder of your wedding day. Most couples find it an amazing experience to look back after a few years and re-live the day they came together as man and wife. Video captures many small things that most people forget, or don’t even see on the wedding day.
To guarantee quality and satisfaction it is always best to use a professional. Ray Lawler Studio has videoed thousands of weddings; we understand wedding etiquette – what to do and what not to do. We know the order of ceremonies and our videographer is prepared for the important moments.
We use quality equipment and give you a professional result. We are experienced in working under difficult and often crowded circumstances, and are unobtrusive.
We are proud of our videography and any enquiries to our office are posted examples of our work.
Using an amateur has disappointed many couples, both in photography and videography.

Daar was a volunteer at the SA animal welfare league, where Michelle worked. Daar was pretty oblivious to the fact that Michelle liked him and every time she saw him she tried striking up a conversation until he eventually got the hint and asked Michelle out. When Daar asked Michelle to marry him, they went out to dinner at the same restaurant they went to on their very first date. They then had a moonlit stroll along the beach when Daar got down on one knee, pulled a diamond ring from his pocket and asked Michelle to marry him!
Daar and Michelle honeymooned on the Gold Coast and Springbrook.
Ray Lawler Studio were the photographers and videographers of Daar and Michelle’s nuptials. Michelle said “our photos turned out better than either of us could have hoped for and the DVD of our ceremony was a beautiful touch”.
Cameron and Kirsty met through mutual friends at a birthday party. They recently married in the chapel at RACV Royal Pines Resort and Spa, having their reception their also. Kirsty's wedding gown was a white silk satin and silk brocade slimline Elizabeth De Varga gown with a fishtail and sweetheard neckline with feature and pearl broach detail. It was gorgeous!! They then honeymooned at Ko Samui, Thailand. Ray Lawler Studio wish them a lifetime of happiness.
